A Changed Life
My name is Sam and I am fourteen years old.  When I was six, I came to Mt. Hope Camp six months after my mother.  Since being here for eight years, I have come to know the love of Christ.  I always used to go to church with my grandparents, but I never understood the depths of a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Sister Cheri, the staff, and the teachers explained this type of a relationship in a way that I could understand it.  The Lord has been faithful to keep my mom, Lori, and I in His perfect will and in a healthy relationship together.  Since I accepted the Lord into my heart I have had a changed life.  Yeah, I still have my struggles just like any other kid, but I learned to lay everything at the cross.  If I had not come to the Camp, I have no idea what I would have become.  I used to work off of my mother's relationship with Christ, but I have now come to know Him as my personal Lord and Savior.  I thank God for saving me from every ungodly wrong thing that could have happened to me.
"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!"  Thank You God!

A Determined Heart
My name is Courtisha and I am sixteen years old. I came to Mt. Hope directly after I turned ten. It was very hard because I had gone through a lot; but after a while, I wasn't so angry anymore. When I turned thirteen, being at the ministry didn't feel like such a good thing anymore. I began to resent God for bringing me here and I was always thinking of what I could be doing. This was the year my mom gave up her job at a near by hospital to be the house mom for the women in structure. It was difficult for me to see God's hand in taking me from where I was. One night, the teens were invited to a youth group at another church. The message really touched my heart so I went to the altar call to become more serious about my relationship with God. I still have ups and downs but I am determined to keep in mind that my life is not my own and Jesus Christ will help me run this race.
